We offer the only emergency shelter in Washington County specifically for survivors and their children fleeing intimate partner violence (IPV), sexual assault, or sex trafficking. Our staff works with individuals to help find jobs, housing, individual advocacy, and referrals to other agencies/programs as needed. We are unable to accept pets into the shelter but can assist in securing a safe location for you and your pet.
We provide emergency shelter, adult support services, legal advocacy, medical advocacy, and community referrals to all survivors of Sex Trafficking.
CASA, Inc is an active member of the Washington County Anti-Human Trafficking Collaborative. This collaborative focuses on bringing awareness to our community regarding the signs of Human Trafficking and resources available for survivors.
Our advocates work with local medical facilities to provide in-person support to survivors during forensic exams for IPV, sexual assault and sex trafficking. We will help schedule follow-up appointments and transportation.
We also offer education to medical professionals.

Crisis Services: Our staff provides short-term crisis sessions focusing on safety planning, learning about the patterns, effects, and dynamics of IPV, and available resources.
Ongoing Counseling: We also offer ongoing counseling for survivors of sexual abuse, sex trafficking, and/or IPV. The focus of ongoing counseling is continued safety planning, stabilization, and support. We serve all gender identities and sexual orientation.
We offer counseling to children and adolescents (5-17 Y/O) who have experienced family violence and/or abuse, teen dating violence, and any form of sexual abuse. We also discuss positive parenting. We also work with other local agencies to coordinate care and provide for needs beyond the scope of our agency.
We have several trauma informed support groups for survivors of IPV, any form of sexual abuse, and sex trafficking. These groups encourage survivors to connect with each other through activities and discussions. Groups provide education and resources to empower survivors.

We facilitate a group for men engaged in intimate partner abuse. Through challenging and informative talks, men discover ways they have been controlling and abusive to their partners. The goal is to help men learn healthier ways of dealing with stress, anger, and conflict. AIP for women is completed in individual sessions. Learn more about STREAMS.
