IRA GIFTS

CASA supporters age 70.5 or older have a unique opportunity to support our clients that are rebuilding their lives from abuse and homelessness — all through their retirement savings. IRA qualified charitable distribution (QCD) gifts help to reduce your future tax burden and can help you meet your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) for the current calendar year, all while making an impact.

IRA GIFTS

Follow the steps below to make and IRA gift to CASA, Inc.

  1. QCD GIFTING To make a Qualified Charitable Donation gift, please contact your IRA administrator (Fidelity, Schwab, Vanguard, Raymond James, etc.).

  2. REQUEST TRANSFER. Request that your QCD be transferred to CASA Inc., 1 West Franklin Street, Suite 200; Hagerstown, MD 21740.

  3. INCLUDE NAME & ADDRESS. Ask your IRA administrator to include your name and address for acknowledgement purposes.

  4. EMAIL US. Please also email markp@casainc.org to notify us of which company is sending the QCD, along with the approximate value, so we can be sure to send you a tax acknowledgement letter. (Oftentimes, the financial company does not include the donor’s name and address.)

CASA is a lifeline for people (children, teenagers, and adults) in Washington County who have been affected by domestic violence, sexual assault/abuse, and rape. Our programs and services provide the professional support and guidance necessary for these individuals and their families to survive violence and abuse and establish a new and safe direction.
